At the Fakuma 2026, NGA Group with COLLIN, BritAS & COMELT shows combined technology competence for the plastic industry:

Live technologies from COLLIN and COMELT as well as comprehensive recycling competence from BritAS: During the 30th Fakuma, the NGA group presents itself as high-performance technology network for demanding processes in extrusion, film inspection and plastic recycling.

  • In live operation: COLLIN tube extrusion line with the patented innovation `sequential die´
  • In live operation: COLLIN COFICOS200 for optical film inspection
  • At the booth: COMELT high-tech die & feedblock
  • At the booth: BritAS bolt screen changer as showcase
  • Location Austria: Rebranding to NGA Plastic Technology

At the Fakuma, the NGA Group again participates together with its companies COLLIN, COMELT and BritAS. The focus is on solutions with which plastic processing companies can create development and production processes in a more precise, efficient and resource-saving way. A special focus lies on technologies, which visitors can see in live operation. Thus, complex processes become immediately comprehensible and at the same time, room for face-to-face discussions between experts is created at the booth.

COLLIN: Sequential extrusion for high-precision plastic products
In live operation, COLLIN introduces a tube extrusion line with patented sequential die. The line was especially developed to produce high-precision multi-lumen and plastic tubes and includes three extruders, the new die technology, a water bath with vacuum calibration as well as a take-off with integrated cutting unit. This allows to produce for example tubes for endoscopic applications or catheters.

The sequential die combines different materials in extrusion direction directly one after the other – continuous, automated and without production stop. Complex hybrid products, which until now had to be mounted, shrunk or joined manually, are now reproducible in one end-to-end process. Material changes are carried out at constant layer thickness, short transitions and high repeatability. Thus, characteristics of the product length can selectively be varied, and function zones can exactly be positioned. For the operator, this offers more design freedom, high process control and a reliable scalability from the development project up to the industrial production.

Also economically, this technology opens new perspectives: Additional assembly and joining processes are no longer required, handling and error rate are reduced while quality and reproducibility are increased. New premium products can quicker be industrialized and produced with clearly calculable unit costs. At the same time, the simplified process supports a more economic material usage, reduces defective parts, rejects and rework and thus improves resource efficiency during der production of high-quality hybrid products.

POLYTEST LINE COFICOS 200: Film quality in mind
With COFICOS 200, COLLIN shows a new solution for the optical film inspection, also in live operation. It combines single-screw extruder, chill roll and camera-based inspection in one compact line. Optical defects such as gel particles, black spots or pigment agglomerates in coloured films are detected and provided as important data basis for quality control.

At the exhibition, the line is equipped with a line camera and a haze measuring device for the detection of haze and light scattering in transparent films. The ergonomic design, which is open to the front, allows easy access and can flexibly be adapted to the spatial conditions at the customer. This type of machine is designed for a film width of 200 mm, the testing line is also available with a width of 400 mm.

COMELT: Precision for extrusion and multi-layer processes
At the booth, COMELT introduces the coflex high-technology extrusion die with a width of 800 mm. Its central quick adjustment of the lower die lip allows manual or automated adaptation of the product thickness within a few seconds and with an adjustment range of +/− 3.0 mm. The precise, smooth, and low maintenance design enables a constant thickness profile, reduces set-up times and increases the machine availability. Film manufacturers benefit from stable product quality, less material consumption and higher efficiency.

The COMELT portfolio ranges from slot dies for mono, coextrusion and multi-manifold applications up to feedblocks as well as sheet and blown film dies and spinnerets. Furthermore, at the booth, a variable feedblock system for innovative multi-layer films, which allows innovative film structures from pilot plant scale to production. The extrusion dies and feedblocks are manufactured in Inzersdorf/Austria; development, design and worldwide sale are realised via NGA/Austria as well as international locations of the group.

BritAS: Recycling solutions for a higher added value
BritAS completes the appearance of the NGA group with comprehensive competence for plastic recycling and shows a piston screen changer as showcase at the booth. The company offers recycling solutions, which focus on efficient recycling and highest amount of added value. In particular, these include high-performance filtration solutions such as melt filters or bolt screen changers, which reliably remove plastic contaminations out of plastic melt and thus support stable processes and high quality of the recycled material. Within the group, BritAS stands for application-oriented recycling technology and helps to close circuits economically and to extend the use of valuable raw materials.

NGA location in Austria – Rebranding marks the completion of the transformation
With the rebranding of the Austrian location, from Next Generation Analytics GmbH to NGA Plastic Technology GmbH, in the course of the new ownership structure, the transformation of the NGA group is completed. Since May 2026, the Dr. Kastner GmbH holds 70%, the Verstraten GmbH 20% and Corné Verstraten personally holds 10% of the shares. The new company name is reflecting the strategic focus and further development of the group. Now, with this final step, the restructure of the NGA group has completely been implemented.
